'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden important trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could begin in the upcoming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring performance continues to amaze
